Toast Tours Named California’s Best Wine Tour Company

Honored to Be Recognized Among America's Best Wine Tour Companies

Toast Tours began in 2018 with one mini-bus, a deep love for Paso Robles, and the belief that wine country should be experienced through genuine hospitality, personal connections, and unforgettable moments. Our goal was simple: to create the kind of tour we would choose for ourselves.

Today, we are incredibly honored to share that Toast Tours has been named California’s highest-ranked wine tour company and the No. 2 Best Wine Tour Company in the United States in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.

Each year, travel experts nominate just 20 wine tour companies from across the country, and travelers then determine the final rankings through a nationwide public vote.

To be nominated is an honor.

To finish as the highest-ranked company in California and second in the nation is something we never imagined when we first opened our doors.

Finding Home in Paso Robles Wine Country

Travel has always been at the heart of our story.

We met while working as bicycle tour guides in Barcelona, Spain, brought together by a shared love of travel, hospitality, and helping people discover new places. When we eventually made our way to California, our first home was a Volkswagen van parked on the family farm, the perfect beginning of our California adventure.

Before Toast Tours, our passion wasn’t just wine, it was tourism itself. We were fascinated by the experiences that make people fall in love with a destination. Working in some of the world’s most competitive tourism markets, Barcelona, San Francisco and Napa Valley, gave us the opportunity to learn from exceptional tour operators and hospitality professionals who understood that the smallest details often create the most lasting memories.

Our growing passion for wine really solidified in Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Here we discovered the importance of terroir and winemaking practices, as well as that wine tasting could be about so much more than what’s in the glass. It was about meeting winemakers, hearing the stories behind each bottle, and experiencing the culture of a place through its food, vineyards, and people.

Every winter during low season, we’d pack our bags and head somewhere new. Our travels took us through wineries and wine regions across Europe, South Africa, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond. Each destination taught us something different, not just about wine, but about hospitality, storytelling, and how truly memorable experiences are created.

By the time we discovered Paso Robles, we weren’t simply looking for another wine region. We were looking for a place that embodied everything we’d come to value through years of travel: authentic people, exceptional wines, a welcoming community, and experiences that felt personal rather than scripted.

We found all of that in Paso Robles.

We Couldn't Have Done This Without You

This recognition starts with everyone who chose to spend part of your vacation with us, left a thoughtful review, recommended Toast Tours to friends and family, or took the time to vote for us in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, thank you!

Your support means the world to us.

But this recognition also belongs to the people who make every tour possible.

It belongs to our incredible team of guides, whose passion for hospitality, wine, and Paso Robles transforms every tour into something memorable. Their knowledge, warmth, and genuine love for this region are what guests remember long after they’ve returned home.

It belongs to the wineries, restaurants, hotels, and small businesses that welcome our guests every day. We’re fortunate to work alongside a community that believes, just as we do, that hospitality is about creating meaningful experiences and lasting memories.

Together, you’ve helped make Toast Tours what it is today, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

We look forward to welcoming many more visitors to discover everything that makes Paso Robles wine country so special.

Looking Forward to What Comes Next

Since opening in 2018, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests from across the United States and around the world.

Along the way, we’ve received more than 900 five-star reviews, recognition from Travel + Leisure as one of California’s best wine tour companies, and the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance Good Neighbor Award.

Each recognition reminds us why we started Toast Tours in the first place. Not to become the biggest wine tour company. But to create experiences people remember long after they’ve returned home.

We’re incredibly grateful for every guest who has been part of our journey, and we look forward to welcoming many more visitors to discover everything that makes Paso Robles wine country so special.

Thank you for making this possible!
