A Discovery of Southern California's Hidden-Gems

You’ll be making your way over the coastal mountains to the infamous California Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1) for a short drive up to the ornate and luxurious Hearst Castle Paso Robles.

Start your visit with the Grand Rooms while on your tour of Hearst Castle of the main house, recommended for first-time visitors & enjoy the awe-inspiring views. Afterwards, you’ll head to the coastal town of Cambria, where you can grab a delicious lunch and browse the many art galleries, boutique shops, and more. After lunch, we’ll drive back to Paso Robles wine country where you’ll visit a winery (tasting fee not included).

We’ll finish the day in Tin City, Paso Robles’ hippest wine destination, where you will get to choose between exciting boutique wineries, breweries, a cider house, distilleries, sheep’s’ milk ice cream, and more. (There’s so much to choose from, we didn’t want to do it for you! So time here is at your own expense.)

Please make tour reservations as early as possible, as this popular tour books early and is subject to ticket availability at Hearst Castle.

Along the way you’ll take in beautiful views of the fog blanketed mountain peaks and the rocky shoreline of the Pacific Ocean as we make our way to William Randolph Hearst’s extravagant vacation home on the ‘Enchanted Hill’.

At Hearst Castle, your guide will pick up your tickets and you’ll hop on a shuttle that takes you up the mountain to the castle. Once up there, you will begin your guided Grand Rooms Tour, allowing you to enjoy the splendor of the Castle as Hearst and his guests would have.

On the Hearst Castle tour, you’ll visit Hearst’s opulent social rooms on the ground floor of the castle where each evening W.R. Hearst would gather his guests – consisting of the Hollywood elite of the time, influential politicians, famous authors and artists, and other notable figures – for lavish meals and socializing all through the night.

The guided portion of the tour will last approximately 1-hour, after which the shuttle brings you back to the visitor’s center, where your Toast Tours guide will pick you up to continue on your adventure!

After departing Hearst Castle, we’ll make our way to the charming seaside town of Cambria, where you’ll have time to walk through the historic East Village, do some boutique and antique shopping, as well as grab a delicious lunch at one of the many excellent cafes and restaurants.

After a satisfying lunch, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views as we make our way to a Paso Robles winery on the west side of Paso Robles Wine Country.

Sit back and savor each winery as they offer their own distinctive blend of enchanting wines, friendly locals and authentic countryside vistas.

Finally, we’ll finish the day in Paso Robles hippest tasting destination – Tin City. This industrial estate boasts some of the most innovative boutique producers in the area and includes the option to taste small-batch wines, beers, cider, distilled spirits, sheep’s’ milk ice cream, pasta and more.
